Punarnava Tailam

 Punar’ denotes restoring or regaining and ‘nava’ means new. Punarnava as the name suggests has the tendency to rejuvenate. Two varieties of the plant have been mentioned in the scriptures – Shweta punarnava (white variety) and Rakta punarnava (red).
 
Usage:
Apply oil in warm condition to the entire throat and gently massage.


Benefits:  


Improper functioning throat will be rectified.
It is cooling, anthelmintic, astringent, diuretic, aphrodisiac, diaphoretic, emetic, expectorant, anti-inflammatory, febrifuge, laxative and tonic.  Apart from these, punarnava is also a cardiac and liver stimulant.
